McDONALD's Penang supports the Penang State Government's effort to reduce the usage of plastic bags. Their outlets in Penang are now using paper bags and paper coffee cups. McDONALDS's Senior Director of Franchising and Administration, Daniel Chan also elaborated on other areas of their Go Green efforts like harvesting rain water for washing drive-through paths and watering plants, supply their used cooking oil for recycling to make soaps and candles and etc.
