Shah Alam Syariah High Court fixed July 1 for the appeal by Kinabatangan MP Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin to set aside his one-month jail term for entering into a polygamous marriage without consent.

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek says a differend fund should be set up for tax revenue collected from legalised betting. His statement echoed the Prime Minister's announcement that the Government would not issue sports betting licence Friday night.

[Parliament] Shaziman: Parliament won't be relocated



After weeks of ambiguity, Works Minister Shaziman Abu Mansor has finally confirmed in the Dewan Rakyat that the government does not intend to relocate Parliament to a new building in Putrajaya. Instead, the government will upgrade the existing building, during which time Parliament will be temporarily housed at the under-utilised Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).

An estimated of 100,000 Sabahans are staying in Klang Valley. However, these young people who came to seek for work opportunities are living in deplorable states. According to Hiew King Cheu (DAP-Kota Kinabalu), some Sabahans staying here are illiterate and living as beggars digging for food behind KFC and Mcdonald's, and some young women are unfortunately involved in prostitution.
